I’ve been on the fence about buying Quickmart shares, so before deciding I sat down and went through the numbers properly. 

I compared them with what happened to Uchumi and Nakumatt, looked at where the dividends are coming from, and checked what KSh 3,750 actually gets you compared with leaving it in a money market fund.

I’m sharing my analysis in case it helps anyone else thinking of giving it a try.
