The celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month reaches across all of our programs at Joffrey Ballet School, giving dancers of every age the opportunity to discover the cultural traditions and artistic influences that make dance so diverse.

Our Youth Ballet Program students recently explored the art of Flamenco with faculty member JoDe Romano joderomano, discovering a style rich in history, rhythm, and expression. Through intricate footwork, musicality, and expressive movement, our dancers experienced a different approach to their training while gaining an appreciation for the traditions behind this celebrated Spanish dance form.

At Joffrey Ballet School, we believe that a well-rounded dance education goes beyond technique. Introducing students to different styles and cultural traditions encourages curiosity, strengthens artistry, and inspires a greater appreciation for dance in all its forms. These experiences help shape confident, open-minded dancers while fostering the sense of community and shared learning that is central to our School.

Thank you, JoDe, for sharing your passion for Flamenco and introducing our Youth Ballet students to the artistry and traditions of Spanish dance!
