The Houston Rockets are the most slept on team heading into the 2026-27 NBA season and nobody is talking about it.

Fred VanVleet tore his ACL AND his meniscus before last season even started. Missed the entire year. And the Rockets were STILL dangerous without him — Kevin Durant, Alperen Sengun, Amen Thompson and Reed Sheppard all held it down.

Now VanVleet is back with no restrictions, they added Marcus Smart and Bogdan Bogdanovic off the bench, and Fred himself said they can win a championship this season.

While everybody is focused on the Sixers superteam, Giannis in Miami and LaMelo in Minnesota — Houston is quietly building something special. Don't sleep on them.
