We are stronger together. 🇺🇸🇩🇪

Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Daryl Caudle and Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy John Perryman received a tour today of German navy Type 212A air-independent propulsion submarine U-32 (S182), on Naval Base Eckernforde, Germany.

Caudle also received a tour of a German unmanned underwater vehicle that can conduct intelligence gathering.

The visit highlights the close partnership between our two navies and our combined tactical edge in the undersea domain.

Established in 1957, Naval Base Eckenforde is the German Navy’s only deep-water harbor on the Baltic and is the home port of the German submarine force.
