Pretty great stuff as always from Joel Sherman today on the Yankees’ lack of transparency regarding Aaron Judge’s calf injury that kept him off the roster for the five playoff games this fall.

The Yanks have been incredibly vague with injuries over recent years, but this time around with Judge, they generally kept him away from the media and left reporters with more questions than answers.

Judge is the biggest star in baseball and the biggest star in New York. As Sherman said, if this were Patrick Mahomes or LeBron James, you know they’d be sitting down with the media explaining their injury rather than being secretive and beating around the bush.

Just another piece to the puzzle of a brutal end to the season nypostsports
