Your new reps don’t only need a 30-day plan. They need today’s.

Most onboarding hands a new rep weekly targets and a pile of information, then expects them to figure out the rest.

So day one ends, and they don’t know if they’re on track. Neither do you.

Weekly activity clarity matters. Reps should know exactly what activity it takes each week to hit their goals, and that conversation should start in the recruiting process, not after they’re hired.

But the first 2–4 weeks need to go further. You have to get granular.

If a rep starts Monday, they should know the 6 things to do Monday to be on track for Tuesday. On Tuesday, the 5 things to be on track for Wednesday. On Wednesday, the 7 things to be on track for Thursday.

That’s what absolute clarity looks like while someone is ramping.

This week, write out a day-by-day checklist for a new rep’s first 10 working days. If you can’t fill in day three, neither can they.
