The team developed over 50 custom colors to capture the neon-soaked nights of neo-Tokyo in Japan. 🇯🇵 Every individual light source was painted by hand. 

Total of 327 colors were ultimately incorporated into the film, which follows Kaneda, a biker gang leader in a dystopian future Tokyo, whose childhood friend Tetsuo develops terrifying psychic abilities after a motorcycle accident. 💥 #akira #japan #tokyo #movies #edit
