The relationship between Mac Miller and Ariana Grande began through music, long before it became one of the most memorable romantic stories in the industry. 🖤💭

In 2013, both collaborated on a new version of The Way, the single that launched Ariana’s career.

The chemistry between their voices and the complicity they showed in the music video quickly sparked public interest, although at that time they were still friends.

Over the years, their bond strengthened until, in 2016, they made their relationship public. During that period, music continued to be a fundamental part of their lives: Mac participated in Ariana’s Sweetener album as one of her main emotional influences, while she collaborated on My Favorite Part, a song included in The Divine Feminine, the album Miller released in 2016 that explored love and relationships from a more intimate perspective.

Their relationship ended in May 2018, after approximately two years of dating, although both maintained a bond of affection and respect. Months later, Ariana released thank u, next, a song in which she mentioned her ex-partners and dedicated a special part to Mac, recognizing what she had learned from him.

After the rapper’s death in September of that same year, at the age of 26, the singer paid him public tribute and shared memories of their time together. A detail that connects their stories is that The Way regained a special meaning after Miller’s death. The song that had musically united them two years ago became for many followers a memory of their beginnings, when they were still two artists building their careers. 🕊️

The relationship became linked not only to their romantic story, but also to a collaboration that marked an important moment in both of their careers. #macmiller #macmillerforever #love #fy #history
