This artistic and autobiographical project documents motherhood and the passage of time over more than two decades. It breaks down traditional stereotypes by merging the identity of the mother and the artist. artanniewang 👏🏼 For 17 years, this mother documented her son growing up through her art project. Created by Annie Hsiao-Ching Wang internationally acclaimed photographer from Taipei, Taiwan. 

In 2001, just before becoming a mother, she began a photographic series exploring the relationship between motherhood, identity, and creativity. What started as a personal attempt to preserve her sense of self evolved into a decades-long visual diary of her son growing up alongside her own journey as an artist. From pregnancy and childhood to adolescence and the search for independence, each photograph captures a different chapter in their lives. 💭
