29 years ago today, the first episode of the legendary manga ‘Berserk’ aired in Japan. 🇯🇵🤍

Berserk is a masterpiece of dark fantasy manga created by the late Kentaro Miura in 1989. Renowned worldwide for its stunningly rich graphic art and deeply dark themes, the manga has sold over 70 million copies worldwide.

The story follows Guts, a cursed warrior armed with a gigantic sword, engaged in an obsessive quest for revenge against his former comrade-in-arms, Griffith.

Across 25 episodes, friendship, ambition and loyalty build toward one of anime’s most devastating betrayals. Its stark animation and Susumu Hirasawa’s soundtrack gave the series an atmosphere that still feels unmistakable. 💭
