- WHY CAN'T PEOPLE JUST BE KIND?

I woke up this morning to find an abusive comment about me being transgender on one of my FB posts.

Having studied the scientific, medical, biological and pyschological aspects of sex, gender, transgenderism and transexuality I know a wee bit about it.

I don't suffer ignorant fools gladly and the man who commented was firmly but politely dispatched with both barrels of my metaphorical shotgun.......

Why can't people just be kind? 

I am fortunate to have a self-confidence that few people have, but it did not come overnight. 

It has come from facing my fear, taking one tiny step after another and overcoming it.

My self-confidence is the hard-won reward from a long and challenging journey of life-changing inner healing.

And that is one of the reasons I post on Instagram - I post to try and encourage people, especially women and trans women, to try to inspire them to overcome their fear and grow in self-confidence and character.

Life isn't a dress rehearsal and Naomi and I strongly believe in living our lives and our relationship the way we want to live it - whatever challenges, difficulties and adversities we have to overcome to build it.

And we have known challenges.....we have both been rejected and disowned by our families, we have both known crushing poverty and we have both been homeless.

Which is why we are both working so hard to build the new life we want in a lakeside villa near the city of Lausanne on the northern shore of Lake Geneva, Switzerland.

That is why the slogan of Bentley Girls magazine is "Live YOUR life YOUR way.

But do it kindly.

And if my posts encourage and inspire people do that then they are serving a useful purpose.
