When the wind is a brisk north-westerly that is coming express delivery from Norway there is nowt better than a full length fur coat for style and warmth.

Especially when my fabulously expensive looking coat was an impulse purchase in my local Sainsbury's supermarket.

I had my friendly local tailor sew two extra hook and eyes on the lapels which means I can do the coat up to my neck.

This small change made the coat stylish, warm and practical - especially when the wind is cold and coming express delivery from Norway.

So what did this outfit cost?

The faux fur coat was new from Sainsbury's - £54 (US$70.20)

The check mini skirt was second hand from a charity shop - £3 (US$3.90)

Long sleeve roll neck top new from eBay - £6 (US$7.80)

Knee length boots new from Shoe Zone - £24.99 (US$32.49)

Fedora hat new from eBay - I have had this hat for so long that I don't remember what it cost. But similar more recent ones cost £15 (US$19.50)

Oversized sunglasses new from eBay - £6.50 (US$8.45)

Fleece lined faux leather gloves new from the Barnardo's charity shop in the town I live in - £7 (US$9.10)

Total outfit cost - £109.49 (US$142.34)

A lot of fashion influencers focus on new clothing so their blog posts will end with a call to action like 'SHOP THE LOOK....." 

Instagram influencers have "Comment Style......" or whatever to get my outfit.

As someone who hates being the same as everybody else, and absolutely does not want Jocelyn clones buying the same clothes I wear
that is what I totally love about thrifted clothes.

Most of my clothes are purchased second hand in charity shops or Vinted - they are unique so people can't shop my look because my clothes aren't on sale in retail stores.

High style.

Low cost.

Stubbornly unique and individual.

That IS the Bentley Girls way.
