Stadio Olimpico 1999: The 9-Goal Serie A Masterpiece
On 3 May 1999, 65,696 fans at the Stadio Olimpico witnessed arguably the wildest match in Serie A history as Roy Hodgson’s Inter edged Zdeněk Zeman’s Roma 5–4 in Round 31.

Ronaldo & Zamorano: Lethal South American Firepower
Inter’s frontline dismantled Roma’s high line on the counter. Ronaldo scored in the 16th and 55th minutes with trademark pace, while Iván Zamorano struck a clinical first-half brace in the 21st and 34th minutes. Combined, the pair registered 4 goals, 8 shots on target, 90 minutes of constant threat.

Francesco Totti & The Roma Fightback
Zeman’s 4–3–3 surged back through Francesco Totti’s 25th-minute penalty, followed by two strikes inside 120 seconds from Paulo Sérgio (47') and Marco Delvecchio (48'). Eusebio Di Francesco leveled it again at 4–4 in the 78th minute, taking Roma's tally to 4 goals, 3 outfield scorers, 1 converted spot-kick.

Diego Simeone: The Decisive Aerial Blow
With Gianluca Pagliuca off injured, Roberto Baggio stepped up in the 87th minute to curl a pinpoint free-kick onto the head of Diego Simeone, who powered home the winner. The final stat sheet read 9 goals, 7 different goalscorers, 0 red cards shown by Pierluigi Collina, 3 points to Inter.
