When I started volunteering, I was surprised by my immediate love for it. I realised very quickly this is where I want to be." In 1991 she was working in the marketing department at the RACC in Barcelona when the club was asked to help run Rally Catalunya, in the same year the event joined the FIA World Rally Championship. She was pulled in by chance and stayed for three decades. Marina handled the entries for every WRC Rally Spain from 1991, becoming the first point of contact for teams and drivers. She worked as competitor relations officer, then assistant to the clerk of the course, and in 2009 was named Deputy Clerk of the Course, writing the regulations and rally guides and working in race direction during the event. She also spent six years as an FIA steward in the WRC. Today she helps shape the rules and the direction of rallying's top categories for the FIA.
