I asked Evelyn Cole-Sanders, MSHIA, RDMS, RVT, a Clinical Coordinator + Sonography Educator with 25 YEARS of experience, some rapid fire questions about ultrasound students… and her answers did NOT disappoint 😂👏🏼

She’s registered in Abdomen, OB/GYN, Breast + Vascular, she’s helping train the next generation of sonographers… so obviously I had questions 😂

We talked about everything from what makes a student stand out to the things students do that might drive their educators a liiiiittle crazy 👀

I asked her:

✨ Best trait a student can have
🚩 Biggest student red flag
✨ Confidence or technical skill?
✨ Good scanner or good test taker?
✨ Anatomy or physics?
✨ Hospital, clinic or outpatient?
✨ Quiet student or the student who asks 500 questions? 😂
✨ What’s worse: overconfidence or lack of confidence?
✨ Hardest concept to teach
✨ The phrase she says to students 100x a day
✨ Something students do that drives educators CRAZY
✨ And something a student can do that instantly impresses an educator

And then I hit her with the LAST question 😂😂😂

She is SO sweet and entertaining, but you can also immediately tell she pushes her students and expects a lot from them, in the best way possible 👏🏼
Those are the educators you remember. The ones who challenge you, hold you accountable, and push you because they know what you’re capable of.

If you’re currently in ultrasound school, heading into clinicals, or hoping to get into a program one day, there are sooo many little gems in this conversation🤍
