If you’re trying to get into ultrasound school OR you’re already a sonography student… this conversation is for you!

I got to sit down with Micaela Ruiz, DHSc, RDMS, RVT, a medical sonography professor here in South Florida who is registered in abdomen, OB/GYN, breast, pediatric + vascular!

And fun fact… we actually worked together 10 YEARS ago, and I haven’t seen her in years!! 🥹 So getting to reconnect AND talk all things ultrasound education was so much fun.

We talked about:

✨ What you should actually look for when choosing an ultrasound program
✨ What makes a strong sonography school applicant
✨ What you can do BEFORE applying to help yourself stand out
✨ Red flags to look for when researching programs 🚩
✨ The questions you should be asking a program before enrolling
✨ How important accreditation really is
✨ Why some students struggle in ultrasound school
✨ Whether working during your program is realistic
✨ What separates students who become strong scanners from those who continue struggling
✨ The biggest mistakes students make during clinicals
✨ And what you can do to really stand out during clinical 👏🏼

Basically… we covered A LOT 😂

And I love getting an educator’s perspective because there are so many things students don’t know to ask until they’re already IN a program.

If you’re applying to ultrasound school, currently in a program, or getting ready to start clinicals, SAVE THIS ONE. 🤍
