Okay I was not expecting THIS!!! 

I got to experience the @vantarivr VR ultrasound simulation being developed with @inteleosorg / ARDMS, and basically you’re learning and practicing how to scan inside a virtual environment!

And this isn’t just a random VR scanning game, actual sonography experts are helping create and validate the clinical content!

You can work through realistic scanning scenarios, practice proper technique + image acquisition, follow scanning workflows, and get feedback on your performance without needing an actual patient.

This was such a cool experience, and I kept thinking about how helpful something like this could be for students who are still building their scanning skills + confidence 👏🏼

I would LOVE to see something like this offered in ultrasound programs! We had and still have those ultrasound practice phantoms + the babies in bottles for our OB/GYN classes 😂 Imagine being able to add VR scanning practice too?! 🙌🏼
