Choosing the wrong business partner can cost you more than money. It can cost you time, control, and the business itself.

Before splitting ownership, ask yourself:

✅ Do we bring equal value to the business?

✅ Who makes the final decision when we disagree?

✅ Are our work ethics and long-term goals aligned?

✅ What happens if one partner wants out?

A 50/50 split isn’t automatically fair, and a 51/49 split doesn’t solve every problem.

The right partnership isn’t about equal ownership. It’s about aligned incentives, clear responsibilities, and protecting the business.
