You’ve heard of farm to table dining, but what about seed to garment clothing? 🌿
Meet Caitlin Michener, one of our own right here in Chester County and August’s cover story. Using natural fibers like cotton, linen, silk and wool, Caitlin creates organic hand-dyed clothing that is as beautiful as it is intentional. She makes every dye herself. From black walnut, logwood and Japanese indigo, and is currently experimenting with fresh flower hammer prints that are nothing short of stunning.
Want to try it yourself? Drop by Second Saturday at Chadds Ford Barn Shops on Baltimore Pike and Creek Road, where Caitlin and other local artists offer workshops and demonstrations right in our backyard.
