.
The Waste Land, published for the first time in England in 1922 by T. S. Eliot, is considered among the most important and influential poems of the twentieth century.
The poem owes its greatness to a conscious destruction and to a very calibrated, chaotic scattering, secretly ruled by the periodic refrain of small modular units.
Through the exploration of present and past myths, Eliot tries to explain the crisis of civilization and contemporary culture, making his work the expression of a cosmic drama and a intrinsic crisis in the human condition itself.
.
The project has its roots in the style of the poem itself.
Each page of each volume is arranged to be torn and repositioned, always favoring a new stratification of the textual and visual content.
The images were taken and reinterpreted according to the different suggestions received reading The Waste Land.
.
The visual content created was divided into four volumes exploiting the evocative repetitions within the text: Water, Contemporary, Rebirth, Ambience.
.
lindarondini : Strain. Incompleteness and apparent randomness
Eleonora Oscari: Scratch. Progressive elimination of matter
therealpen : Bitmap. Non-lieus and unreal people
sinanatra : Generative code. Replacing and new relationships
Andrea Colacicco: Dehydration. Loss of substance
.
Disidratazione: Loss of Substance.

The process leading to the reading of this images is a selection of the main points of the matter.
With this technique all those elements that constitute the essence of storytelling become visible, creating a clean vision of the individual particles that make our vision of the world.
