SEOUL INTRODUCES NEW NAMES

As part of Fashion Kode S/S’27, South Korean brand GIMMETHEYOUNG made its debut. Despite being a newcomer, the label has already made a name for itself by presenting a contemporary vision of modern Korean design.

Led by the design duo Jang Hyun Young and Hyun Kyoung, the brand showcased a distinctive, inimitable style on the runway at the Seoul Textile Centre. The collection was vibrant and youthful, with references to the aesthetics of 2000s streetwear. Although the brand’s DNA is still taking shape, it is clear that GIMMETHEYOUNG is keeping pace with the times.

The collection was also available to view and purchase at the accompanying KODE Market, giving fashion enthusiasts the opportunity to engage with current trends immediately after the show.

Editorial Opinion:
In the fashion world, where new styles emerge every day, few brands are able to hold attention. GIMMETHEYOUNG, however, has the potential to become a point of reference for a new generation. The brand offers an accessible, fashionable and recognisable aesthetic aimed at a young audience, both male and female. The designers have managed to sense and capture the moods of their own, albeit still small, circle of admirers, which is a valuable quality for an emerging brand. It will be interesting to follow the future development of GIMMETHEYOUNG.
