Cam Bam,

I still remember being lowkey intimidated by you when we first met. You walked into every room like you already knew you belonged there; fearless, outgoing, loud in the best way possible. Honestly, I wasn’t used to meeting someone who mirrored parts of myself so closely.

But somewhere between the meetings, events, chaos, conversations, and laughs, I got to really know you. And Cam, you are one of the most dedicated people I have ever met.

People will talk about the 4.0 GPA, becoming Fresno State’s Undergraduate President’s Medalist, making history as the university’s first Schwarzman Scholar, serving as ASI President, and all the incredible things you’ve accomplished. And they should.

But what I’ll remember most... is the person behind all of it.

While everyone sees the titles, the medals, the speeches, the accolades, I got to see the person staying late, stressing over details, caring too much, wanting things to be better for people.

You have this way of making people believe things can actually change if someone is willing to fight hard enough for it. And you fought constantly.

That’s what makes you special to me.

Not just the awards, titles, speeches, or recognition, but the heart behind everything you do.

You are genuinely the best of the best, and I’m grateful I got to witness all of this in real time and call you my friend.

You dedicated yourself like no other.

And more than anything, you are more than just numbers, Cam. Those things explain what you achieved, but they will never fully explain who you are.

Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it. Congrats, Cam Bam. Continue to push through walls.
