sometimes it’s bigger than football. ❤️‍🩹

The Lions-Falcons preseason game in August 2025 turned into something much bigger than football. Lions safety Morice Norris was hurt trying to make a tackle and was attended to for about 20 minutes before being taken off in an ambulance. The Lions said he was in stable condition, and Dan Campbell asked everybody to keep him in their prayers.

Both teams let the clock run out with 6:31 left, and Campbell and Raheem Morris agreed it didn’t feel right to keep playing. Morris called it common courtesy, and players from both sides stood together on the field. It’s a reminder that the rivalry stops when a player’s health is on the line.

What other moments have shown you football at its most human?
