OFFICIAL: Sean Payton is taking over play calling duties from Davis Webb.

👉 Payton confirmed that he will be the one in Bo Nix’s ear on Sunday relaying the plays.

👉 Payton said they simply needed to make a change. But he still has tremendous confidence in Davis Webb and believes the young offensive coordinator will be a future head coach in the NFL

👉 Payton said they met Monday and discussed this change. The Denver Broncos head coach said it was a tough decision, a harder decision than giving up play calling to Webb in the first place.

👉 Davis Webb will meet the media Friday.
