面對人生中難免的沉悶時刻，他總是自問是否已把「感受有趣的感官」打開？他認為這件事情其實要練習。「如果你把所有精力全部用在工作上，回到家就是一副無精打采的樣子，家庭當然不會讓你覺得有趣，因為你已經沒有任何精力留給它了。」

他表示自己雖然和另一半歷經將近二十年的愛情長跑，進入婚姻狀態才只有三年，嚴格說起來算是個婚姻新手，仍有觀念的差異需要磨合，但他有自己的對應之道，婚姻並不是愛情的墳墓。

他說：「你一定要試著去感受，在婚姻裡才不會是一個死掉的人。你依然活著，依然可以跟另一半互動、觀察，不要把所有事情都視為理所當然。」
