ACHD Vehicle Registration Fee Renewal Measure When Ada County residents register their vehicles, a portion of their registration fees goes directly to the Ada County Highway District achdidaho. This generates approximately $14 million annually for local transportation improvements, including safer school routes, sidewalks, bike lanes, intersection safety, and congestion reduction. The fee has been in place for decades, and there is NO increase being proposed. Voters are simply deciding whether to renew it. What does your vote mean? YES: Continues the existing fee through 2046, keeping approximately $14 million annually available for local transportation improvements. NO: Allows the fee to expire after 2028. Vehicle owners would no longer pay the ACHD portion, and that funding would no longer be available for local projects.
