Cool things I found this week vol. 6. a Sunday download of what actually caught my eye during the week. No theme. Just cool random stuff that moved me.

Adéla, the Slovak pop singer, shot by Jack Bridgland. This is the perfect example of making the subject the main focus while still placing her somewhere interesting enough that it has a bit of that jarring effect that glues your eyes to the photo. Obsessed. adelajergova jack_bridgland_studio

ethanjadams made a faucet look cinematic. It might seem like something silly, but I really felt something watching this. It got me to grab my camera almost instantly. It goes to show that with the proper eye, lighting and angle, you can make anything interesting. Go shoot something today!

The backwards law, a concept Alan Watts popularized, also known as the law of reversed effort. The idea is that trying too hard to force a state like happiness, calm, confidence or love often gets you the opposite. I like the idea of having to go through the woods in order to reach the beautiful beach. To see the rainbow. Letting life do its thing often makes you grow and allows you to understand your processes better, but also to focus on the positives.

Tropez Oyster Bar branding by by_nastudio. It’s actually a fictional project, made for a design challenge hosted by designerbriefs and octobernovember.studio. Out of the entries I saw, Nat’s was my fave. I loved her approach, how simplistic but elegant, yet love how very elaborate it is and how the photography works to highlight the whole thing. Gas.
