Blue light from screens does NOT damage your eyes.

Despite what a lot of marketing says, there’s no evidence that blue light from phones or computers causes permanent harm to ocular tissue.

So why do your eyes feel tired after screens?

It’s simple:
• You blink less
• Your eyes dry out
• Your focusing muscles stay engaged for long periods

That’s digital eye strain, not blue-light damage.

Now, some people say blue-light glasses help. And they might feel better — but not for the reason you think.

Just having glasses in front of the eye can reduce tear evaporation slightly, which can make eyes feel a little more comfortable.

So if they help you, great.
But the idea that screens are “damaging your eyes with blue light” is mostly marketing.

Take breaks. Blink more. Use lubricating drops if needed.

Your eyes will thank you.
