Cal junior Jackson Brousseau is not the step-quarterback, he’s the quarterback who stepped up.

Filling in for a concussion-protocolled Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele, Brousseau led the Bears to a surprising 25-20 victory over James Franklin’s Virginia Tech Hokies. Since he subbed in for Sagapolutele in the late second quarter against UNLV, Brousseau has thrown for 520 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions.

That’s pretty incredible, especially considering Cal’s recent offensive struggles.
