Happy Birthday KP 🎂

Before any teams were picked , before any tournament was won , before any tour was undertaken to the USA, there were 3 kids who believed in what i was preaching. 2 young men , and one little 11 year old girl , who had a dream much bigger than most would dare to have.

A dream to play for New Zealand , a dream to go to college in the USA, and a dream to do something that nobody (not even she) believed was possible.

She was the first female athlete i ever worked with , the first young girl in QLD that trusted me to help her find out what she was capable of becoming.

There were mornings she wanted to quit, days where she hated the sight of me , and moments where the goals she had inside her , seemed too impossible to ever be fulfilled.

She is a huge part of the reason everything we have become today is possible. She helped start something all those years ago , that has since grown into something that neither she or I could have imagined was possible from those 3 kids.

I told her at 11 years old that she would play for New Zealand, and I told her that she would go to college in the USA 🇺🇸

And she did. 💜🙏

I inspired her to achieve her goals, and she inspired me to help many more people do the same. Thank you kyra.piripi 🫶

I hope today on your birthday, that you have an incredible day with the people you love most, and i hope that you feel a sense of tremendous joy and pride. Not only in the woman you have become, but also in what you have helped create , so that so many other young girls with a dream just like yours, can follow your example.

Happy Birthday Kyra 🫡💜🏀 #toldyou #dreambig #happybirthday #dayones #grateful
