THR's #NextBigThing: rolemodel

On a global tour following the release of his third album, ‘Chuck Timely & the Hourglass,’ the 29-year-old artist is embracing a new era — and leaving room for the unexpected. The album’s title grew out of an idea for a secret side project, with its imaginary frontman becoming a creative guide in the studio. “All we would do was talk about Chuck and make up stories,” he tells THR.

That same spontaneous spirit carries over to the stage. “People who have been to my shows know this is not a perfect show...I think if there had to be all these planned bits and moments, then I would be nervous because I’m not good at that.”

From channeling Chuck to preparing for his acting debut in Lena Dunham’s ‘Good Sex,’ #RoleModel is following his creative instincts. Read the full interview at the link in bio.
