The University of Missouri Counseling Center launched a new mental health resource called TimelyCare on Thursday.

TimelyCare is a nationwide 24/7 virtual mental health and well-being platform geared towards college students. It can be utilized through an app on a phone or laptop.

TimelyCare offers one-on-one talks with a licensed clinician, monitored peer support communities, and self-help content.

“Behind the scenes, we were able to build in protocol. So when a student calls, yes, they're getting that visit with a provider, but that provider is also going to give them next steps,” Christine Even, the director of MU Counseling Center said. “...so we've built in all of those resources into this product so students can get the resources recommended to them that are going to be a best fit for them and that are already on campus and are most likely already free for them.”

Students will be entered in a competition for a $50 amazon gift card if they register by Nov. 6.
