I knew we can find peace in church, just like the woman knew to find water at the well, but when that water wasn’t what I expected, just like the Samaritan woman, I begged of Jesus: “Sir, give me this water, so that I may not be thirsty or have to keep coming here to draw water.”

As we journey through Lent towards Easter, remember – especially when we find we’re on autopilot – what St. Paul said: “Hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”
