Happy Mother’s Day to the woman who spent Christmas Day in the hospital giving birth to a precious gift (aka me) 😂

In all seriousness, I am so blessed to have her as a mom. When I look at her I see a proverbs 31 woman. She is far more precious than jewels, she rises during the night to provide for our household, her lamp doesn’t go out at night, she opens her hands to the poor and reaches out her hands to the needy, strength and dignity are her clothing and she laughs at the time to come. 

She continuously loves, pours in to me and prays for me daily and I can feel it everyday when I wake up. What would we do without our praying mamas? 😮‍💨

Mother’s Day in 2023 is a bit different this year. Today serves as her last hooray for a little bit as she prepares for surgery on her neck/spine tomorrow morning at 5:30am. 

When I first heard she needed emergency surgery human nature of course is to worry and stress but the truth tells me God has her covered from the surgeon all the way down to the post operation caregivers.

Many of you have asked our family what we need in this moment. With Christ being the foundation of our lives, we first ask for prayer. 

The last time my mom was in the hospital, I wrote on an index card (that she still has on her mirror today) Jeremiah 30:17 “I will restore you to health and your wounds I will heal, says the Lord.”

I ask that you will join us in praying that over her again. 

Secondly, we’ve received donations of food and provisions to help over the next few weeks and we are grateful for whatever you decide in your heart to give.

Your prayers, thoughts, calls, texts have not gone unnoticed. 

I am so thankful for a job that allows me to come home and spend time with her during this time + family/friends that are standing in the gap to support us. 

Happy Mothers Day to all of the mamas and soon to be mamas & sending so much love to the women yearning to be mamas and those who’ve lost their mamas 🫶
