Someone reportedly used Claude Code to create an unofficial PlayStation Store with more than 1,600 game listings for jailbroken PS5 consoles. 🎮👀

Known as Overdrive, the homebrew app closely resembles Sony’s official PlayStation Store, but it operates independently.

The platform reportedly lists 1,669 PS4 and PS5 titles, including Black Myth: Wukong, Tekken 8, and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Downloads are provided through third-party file hosting services.

What makes this project especially interesting is the role of Claude Code. The AI coding tool reportedly assisted with development tasks ranging from writing code and testing to fixing bugs and preparing releases.

It’s another example of how AI tools are making it easier for individual developers to create complex software projects.

However, Overdrive has no official connection to Sony, requires a compatible jailbroken PS5, and raises copyright concerns because the listed commercial games are not officially being offered for free.

Also, not every listed game has been confirmed to work.
