Six years ago, @florencecaron_ was a cheerleader. On Sunday, she makes her marathon debut 🇨🇦

In 2020, she was 19, living alone in a studio apartment in Québec during COVID lockdowns. She started walking just to get out of the apartment. Then she started running. By March 2021 she was on the track team at Laval.

Since then:
🎓 Transferred to @pennstatetfxc and won the 2024 Big Ten 5000m and 10,000m titles
🏃‍♀️ Signed with HOKA @naz_elite in January
🥇 Won the @athleticscanada 10K road title in 2026
🥇 Defended her Canadian 10,000m title on the track
🥈 Took silver at the Canadian Half Marathon Championships
🌍 Represented Canada at World XC and the Commonwealth Games
⚡ Ran a 1:11:03 half marathon PB at the World Road Running Championships in Copenhagen last month

We’ll see how she fares in Sunday’s Canadian Marathon Championships. 🏆

📺 HOW TO WATCH — Sunday, Oct. 18. Coverage starts at 7:00 a.m. ET, and the gun goes off at 8:00 a.m. ET. It’s streaming free on the CITIUS MAG YouTube channel and the @runcrs YouTube channel. It’s also available on the race’s official app.
