We had the absolute pleasure of chatting with debut author Trish Caragan (@trishupauthorstar) about her upcoming debut novel, SMILE FOR THE CAMERA. Caragan is a Filipina-American YA author whose work primarily focuses on spotlighting Filipino characters. She wants to share stories of her characters chasing their dreams, falling in love, and finding their own voices. 💞

Books have been apart of her life since a young age. She used to draw and design her own book covers as a child. Now as an adult, Caragan has stepped into the role of the writer. We can’t wait to see what other artistic skills she’ll bring to her writing! 🎨 ✍️

Her new book, SMILE FOR THE CAMERA, is a sweet YA romance about a young Filipina-American photographer who dreams of making it and the guy she recruits to help her achieve success. If you’re looking for a cozy romance to get you through the end of the season, then make sure you look out for this one later this month! 📖 📷 🙌

Watch the reel to find out what emotions she think her readers will feel while reading her book! 🎥
