A $1,000 surprise for one incredible teacher and teammate! 🏈💙

Thanks to the College Football Playoff Foundation cfpextrayard, 20 Houston-area teachers are being recognized with $1,000 this semester. This time, we’re celebrating Mr. Arredondo of Pasadena Memorial High School!

What makes Mr. Arredondo special? Even in a moment meant to recognize him, he couldn’t help but shine the spotlight on others.

He was quick to celebrate the hard work of his students, his fellow Algebra I teachers, and the entire Pasadena Memorial team. Because great teachers know that student success is a team effort.

And that’s exactly the kind of educator we’re proud to celebrate through Houston Loves Teachers!

Help us show Mr. Arredondo some love in the comments! Former students, families, and colleagues — we’d especially love to hear from you. 👇

This is one of 20 teacher celebrations happening this semester. Follow along as we recognize more of the incredible educators shaping Houston’s future!
