“Talk about it, scream about it if you have to”

On October 13th, students gathered at the Student Center Lawn to protest Bowie State’s lack of response to the continued accusations of sexual assault, sexual harassment, and rape by student Thaddeus Green, dating back to 2023.

Phoenix Ikegwuono, A senior at Bowie State, took to the student center lawn with a megaphone to share the stories of alleged victims, as well as a call to action towards the Bowie State Administration to expel and de-platform Green.

Ikegwuono expressed feelings of disgust and shame at the university for their handling of the assaults.

Ikegwuono also stated she was stopped by Dean Jennings moments before she began her protest, insisting on this matter being handled quietly.

There is currently a petition spreading amongst the student body to have Green expelled from Bowie State University.
