◉ THRESHOLD ◉ AI/CC OCTOBER 2026 CREATIVE CHALLENGE ◉

What if the boundary between worlds was never meant to remain closed?

Long before Halloween became a celebration of costumes and shadows, ancient traditions marked the end of October as a time of transition.

A moment when the familiar world seemed closer to something unseen.

When the living remembered the dead.
When spirits were believed to wander.
When the boundary between worlds grew thin.

For our October Creative Challenge, THRESHOLD, we invite you to explore the mysterious spaces between existence and the unknown.

Between life and death.
Past and future.
Human and other.
Dream and waking.
The known and the unknowable.

Imagine a doorway that appears where none existed before.

An ancestor returning with a message.

A presence crossing from another world.

Or a journey beyond a boundary from which nothing returns unchanged.

What happens when the impossible becomes possible?

We are looking for imaginative concepts, atmospheric worldbuilding, and visual storytelling that explore what lies beyond the boundaries of our reality.

Don't just show us the threshold. Show us what happens when it is crossed.
