Log footage to a film-inspired look in DaVinci Resolve, with one node.

I built Chromatic Film for my own grades. After enough colorists asked for my node tree, I packed it into a single DCTL.

21 controls to shape the look, with Skin Check and False Color built in so you can judge it honestly. It comes with my full 24-node PowerGrade, ready for 14 camera log formats and RAW. New in 1.6: Palette, which pulls the main colours of any frame into a swatch strip.

Made for DaVinci Resolve Studio. Every future update is free, and I help every buyer install it personally.

Comment FILM and I’ll send you the link.

Same Chromatic Film node on a different shot. Log on top, graded below. No rebuilding the look per scene.

The grade I used to rebuild on every job, packed into one DCTL. The full 24-node PowerGrade comes with it, ready for 14 camera log formats and RAW.

Two-way control: positive recovers highlight detail, negative adds punch. White stays white either way.

White balance that follows the daylight curve, the way lighting gels work. The extremes give a strong warm or cool finish.

Subtractive density per colour, from red to magenta. Adds weight and depth so colour reads cinematic, not oversaturated.

Only skin keeps its colour, measured against the 123° skin-tone line on the vectorscope. Dial Skin Hue until faces read on target: ±1 is 10°.

Exposure in waveform %, against fixed Rec.709 references. A grey card reads 41 in every camera’s PowerGrade, checked in Resolve.

21 controls built on real colour science so they behave predictably. The look itself is made by eye. A strong starting point, then make it yours.
