Nobody handed me a D1 sideline.

In 2023 I started shooting for our basketball team at St. John Fisher while still playing college football. I edited between practices, traveled with the team, and learned everything on the fly.

In 2024 I started shooting barbers and athletes on the side, for extra money and to build a portfolio.

Then I graduated with no job lined up. I spent the summer working small gigs and applying every single day.

In August, a D1 program said yes. Now I run content as a creative media GA at Detroit Mercy.

If you’re still shooting in an empty gym, keep going. The work you’re doing right now is your proof.

Follow along. I’m documenting the whole climb from here.
