With The Breakers and Rosecliff being our only open properties this month, it seems appropriate to share this archival photograph of members of The Breakers staff on a “holiday” visit to Rosecliff, circa 1935. They were employed by Countess Széchenyi, formerly Gladys Vanderbilt, who took over The Breakers after her mother Alice’s death in 1934.

Rosecliff is open weekends through February 11, including Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Feel free to pose for a photo with the lions, but please do not touch!
