Repost• makeawishmari 7-year-old Summer is described as an "old soul" by her mom, Jessica. Summer, who has acute lymphoblastic leukemia, loves historical time periods, especially the 1920s, and wished to visit Newport, RI.

The Newport community went above and beyond for Summer. Thank you to the newportmarriott for welcoming and celebrating Summer and her family. Coming from Virginia, Summer had a week full of activities curated by Make-A-Wish staff and volunteers to fit her interests. She was crowned "Princess for the Day," by Miss Rhode Island North America, Jintana Souvannavongsa. Summer also had a spa day with her mother at Spa Fjör at The Viking, since spa days at home are one of her favorite things. Other highlights include tours around Newport, a picnic and photoshoot, a cliff walk, and a special dinner at Sardella's Italian Restaurant.

Thank you to everyone who came together to support Summer and make her wish so special.
