Thanks to everyone who voted for the Newport Mansions in the KidsOutAndAbout.com annual survey of the Top 20 Places to Take Kids in Rhode Island. You really rocked the vote because we made the top five! Museums are not always considered kid-friendly destinations. But we continue to work hard to change that with crafts and reading programs, scavenger hunts, a Breakers Family Tour, and of course, Green Animals, which has the David Rogers' Big Bugs exhibition through October 3. We have also found - as you see from the photo - that many kids are enjoying the chance to picnic with family and friends on the grounds at The Breakers, The Elms, Marble House and Green Animals! To see the Top 20 list, go to https://providence.kidsoutandabout.com/.
