We are two days away from our third annual Emerging Scholars Colloquium, presented virtually in conjunction with the decorativeartstrust. It all begins at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, May 13, via Zoom Webinar and registration is free. Preservation Society Research Fellows MaryKate Smolenski, Catherine Doucette and Sébastien Dutton will each discuss their work during individual 30-minute sessions with professionals in the fields of history, museums and decorative arts serving as moderators. New research will be presented on Hunter House, the maritime trade in Newport crafts during the 18th century, and the little-known third floor of The Breakers (photo). To learn more or register, follow the link in our bio.
