## Caption

On this #TransformationTuesday we look back at the original Elms. Built in 1876, the Italianate-style summer cottage was purchased by Edward and Herminie Berwind in 1888.

The Berwinds would commission architect Horace Trumbauer to build a new summer residence from 1899 to 1901. The result was the beautiful house that is there today.

The last day to visit The Elms for this season is January 3rd. Don't miss out!
