Newport Mansions Creativity Corner
Create a Bumble Bee

Virtual Summer Family Days continue! To keep our community and families safe, we’ve decided to make it a virtual experience this summer. Enjoy activities planned for Tuesdays at Chateau-sur-Mer and Thursdays at Green Animals from the comfort of your home and yard!

What will you find on our website every Tuesday and Thursday in July during these Virtual Summer Family Days?
1.	A craft/art project
2.	List of suggested books to read
3.	A movement activity
No matter what you choose to do, they can be done in your home or outside on a nice day! Remember to support your local libraries and bookstores.

Here is a peek at our new Create project for Thursdays at Green Animals – Create a Bumble Bee.

What you need:
•	Toilet paper tube
•	Markers
•	Paper – white, or yellow and black
•	Glue or tape
•	Scissors

Take your toilet paper tube and make it into a bumble bee! All you need to do is glue on yellow and black construction paper, attach eyes, wings and antennae. If you don’t have construction paper, take white paper and color it with yellow and black. For more detailed instructions, please visit

After you create your bumble bee, please tag newportmansions and #newportmansionscreativitycorner so we can see and share your creations with the community and beyond!
