From the silversmith shop of three Connecticut-born brothers to the home of a wealthy family in Augusta, this tea service preserved the stories of industry and power in antebellum Georgia. Kayli Rideout, a Ph.D. student in American Studies at Boston University, will detail the fascinating history behind this tea service during our Second Annual Emerging Scholars Colloquium on February 8, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., at Isaac Bell House. Presented in collaboration with decorativeartstrust this daylong speaker series will feature new research by young scholars.
