“Missing” – Everything But The Girl

“Missing” is a beautifully understated song that captures loneliness, longing, and emotional distance with quiet elegance.

The minimal arrangement and smooth, downtempo rhythm create a reflective mood, allowing Tracey Thorn’s calm yet aching vocals to shine.

The lyrics feel deeply personal, expressing the emptiness left behind when someone important is no longer present. Its subtle electronic touch gives the track a modern, late-night atmosphere that feels both intimate and universal.

Timeless and emotionally resonant, “Missing” continues to connect with listeners who understand the ache of absence.
